Classes Offered:
Parent and Child "Water Babies" Class: ages 2-5: This group class is for young toddlers with get aquatinted to a pool setting and begin to move and play in the water with their parent. This class is fun for child and parent both and is a great way to get children in the water and beginning to swim. This class consists of 10 lessons and runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons from 5:15p.m. - 5:45p.m.
Preschool Learn to Swim: ages 5-7: This group class is geared toward teaching younger children an introduction to basic water techniques such as floating, and basic stroke techniques. This class is a two week program and each child will receive a certificate of completion on the last day. Children must attend all classes to receive certificate. This class runs Monday through Friday 9:10a.m. -9:50a.m.
Adolescent Learn to Swim: ages 8-12: This group class is geared toward teaching adolescents the basic swimming strokes, floating, treading water, and basic jumping and diving techniques. This class is a two week program and each child will receive a certificate of completion on the last day. Children must attend all classes to receive certificate. This class runs Monday through Friday 8:20a.m.-9:00a.m.
Water Aerobics: Adults: This group class is geared towards fun exercise in the pool for adults. In this class we will work on stretching, muscle building, and endurance. Some activities will include warm up exercises for stretching muscles and ligaments, and muscle building using resistance equipment in the pool. A 10 minute optional lap swimming time will be available to build endurance. Each student will also work with the instructor to setup a personal workout system tailored towards their specific needs so they may continue to exercise outside of class. Adults of all fitness levels are welcome! Water Aerobics burns up to 400 calories per hour! Classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:15p.m. - 6:15p.m.
